Robert W. Frutchey
February 12, 1938 - March 14, 2022
On March 14 Captain Robert (Bob) W. Frutchey died peacefully in his sleep at 84 years of age. He suffered from dementia and memory issues for a number of years, but kept his sense of humor all the way to the end. Dad had three loves in his life; his family, being a pilot, and spending time in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Bob flew for Allegheny Airlines, and then US Air, for more than 34 years and truly loved his career. After retirement he flew his own small airplane and helped raise his grandchildren. As a teenager he worked at a general Store in Drake, Colorado. While he worked in Drake he developed a deep love of the Rocky Mountains, and Rocky Mountain National Park, where skied and hiked many times all through his 70s. Bob was a kind gentle soul who made friends easily and always had a corny joke at the ready. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Gwen (Johnson) Frutchey, two children, Michael (Larisa) & Robin Boggess, and three grandchildren, Michael Boggess, Lindsey Boggess, and Dallen Frutchey. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Bob's honor. https://www.alz.org/
