Robert Louis Cohen, Jr.

Robert (Rob) Louis Cohen, Jr. passed away on February 25th at his home in Alexandria, VA. He was born May 31, 1962, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, son of Evelyn Hoffer and Robert L. Cohen, Sr of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife Catherine (Cathy) Cohen. He is also survived by his son Robert C. Cohen (with his mother and Rob’s former wife Cynthia), stepchildren Tyler, Jamie, and Aaron Jones (with his girlfriend Ashley Musselman), granddaughter Isabella Jones. He is survived by his siblings Debbie, Dana, Randy, Richard, and Duane Cohen. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Cohen. We pay homage to Rob for his 22 years of service to our country as a sailor in the United States Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate. He served aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, USS Carr and USS Detroit and served during Operation Desert Storm. Rob retired from naval service in 2001. After his retirement he went on to hold positions as Loss Prevention Officer for Shop and Save and Security Officer at Universal Protection Services, LLC. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 8th with viewing at 12:00 and service at 1:00 pm at Jefferson Funeral Chapel in Alexandria, Virginia
