Kristen Liberty Barrett Alfriend, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Our dear and sweet Kristen was at the height of her life, excelling as an amazing mother, daughter, aunt and professionally as a leader in the dental industry. Kristen was a loving mother to her son Tyler, but also a best friend with an inseparable bond, seeing or talking to each other every day. Her personality was contagious, evident by the network of friends and work associates she developed across her home community. Kristen had an infectious personality and was the type of person everyone called their best friend, making them feel like they were the most important person in the world. There wasn’t a night where Kristen couldn’t be seen walking her loving dogs, Baylee and Francis, or dining at one of the popular downtown St. Pete restaurants. She loved to travel the world and leave a bit of kindness wherever she went. Kristen changed people’s lives with her smile and lived life to its fullest. She worked hard, never gave up and always got what she pursued. Kristen enjoyed cooking for her family, sipping on a glass of wine, spending time at the beach and enjoying the local music and arts. She would do anything for her family. Kristen was guided through life by her loving mother, who she absolutely adored, and always looked up to her father, ultimately becoming the person he was – kind, loving and compassionate. Kristen will be missed by many people. Kristen is preceded in death by her father, Edward Woolfolk Alfriend IV. She is survived by her mother, JoAnn Brown Alfriend, son, Tyler Fischer, brother, Edward Alfriend (Jacquelyn), sister, Caron Alfriend Atiyeh (Ghassan), and half-sister Bliss Alfriend Miga (Andrew), uncles, Frederick Vincent Brown (Jean,) Thomas Richard Brown (Susan), Walter Brown (Marsha) aunt, Nancy Jane Brown Williams (Edward), longtime partner, Michael Herrington, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and many cousins. Family and friends may gather at Jefferson Funeral Chapel for a Celebration of Life on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Aquia Episcopal Church (2938 Richmond Highway, Stafford, VA, 22554) at 10:00AM. A graveside service will follow services at Aquia Episcopal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association Please view and sign the family guestbook.
