Judith A. "Judy" Pegues

Judy Pegues peacefully entered eternal rest on November 14th, 2015. Judy was born August 23, 1953 in Quincy, Massachusetts to the late James and Mary Harrington. The third of four children and loving sister to three brothers, Jimmy, Jack and Tom. The family were parishioners of Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church in East Weymouth, MA where they resided. Judy attended Pingree Elementary School and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1971. She worked jobs locally as a teenager and began her career with New England Telephone in 1970. In 1977 Judy, along with her friend Elaine, relocated their jobs to the Northern Virginia area to continue their respective careers. Judy soon met her future husband Farrell, who also worked for the telephone company. Farrell and Judy quickly became friends and pursued their relationship, culminating in their marriage in 1982. She retired from the phone company after a thirty-one year career in 2001. Following her retirement, Judy pursued a new found interest in nursery merchandising and gardening. In 2012 Farrell and Judy retired to the warm weather of Valrico, Florida where they resided until her passing. Judy was loved deeply by her husband and family. She was very close to brothers Jack and Tom. Along the way, she also amassed a number of very dedicated friends from Massachusetts to Virginia who stayed in contact with her throughout her life. Judy was fun-loving and always interesting to be around. She possessed a kind honesty that was refreshing and relaxing to those around her. You usually knew where Judy was coming from, and she was loved for having that quality. Judy was also a life-long Red Sox fan. To this day, her car sports the "B" logo of the Sox. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Farrell Pegues, brothers Jimmy Harrington, Jack Harrington and Tom Harrington, brothers-in-law Arvin Pegues and Carroll Pegues, sisters-in-law Teresa Harrington, Cecilia Pegues and Betty Jones, nieces Kathleen Harrington, Natalie Harrington, Mollie Harrington and Margaret (Maggie) Harrington and a host of close friends. Judy, you will be missed greatly by everyone you touched. We are grateful to have known you. May you rest peacefully.
