Edward E. Brookover III "Eddie" Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edward Elias Brookover III (39), also affectionaly known as Ed, Eddie, or EB III, of Fairfax, Virginia passed away peacefully with his Mom and Dad at his side on May 27, 2022. Ed was born October 2, 1982 in Columbus, Ohio. His Buckeye roots led him to become a life-long Ohio State football fan. His love of sports spread quickly. He would travel to see the Masters, the Yankees play in the World Series, Tiger play golf. Ed’s love of sports was not limited to fandom. He loved playing Little League baseball and was an avid golfer. Eventually, Ed would take up gaming, meeting online every Wednesday night to play, laugh, and share stories with his friends. To say Ed was a family man is a profound understatement. He had a very special relationship with each and every member of his family. He loved every moment he spent with his nieces, showering them with love and sharing his life with them. Ed’s circle of friends is unparalleled. He would make friends wherever he went. He made friends with schoolmates throughout his childhood and maintains those friendships to this day. At James Madison University, Ed made friends in his dorm, in his classes; he never met a stranger. In fact, if he had a friendship with you, he likely had a friendship with your entire family. To each of his friends, he made an unspoken commitment to be present no matter what how small or great their need. Ed began his career as the business manager for Syndetics, a management consultant company that partnered with many of the country’s largest government contractors. Most recently, Ed worked at NetServices, Inc. as a Project Manager, leading Agile software projects that support our nation’s war fighters. He led teams of varying skills with different backgrounds and ensured they always came together to be successful. Among his co-workers Ed will always be remembered as a driven leader who came and left the office every day with a smile on his face. He is the cherished son of Edward Elias Brookover II and Barbara Sue (Wagner) Brookover; beloved brother of Stacy Patricia Brookover; adored uncle of Adalynn Jean and Scarlett Rose Brookover and grandson of the late Dorothy (Russell) Wagner and the Gerald H. Wagner as well as grandson of Rosalie (Anderson) Brookover and the late Edward Elias Brookover. Ed is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
