Christopher Anthony Adrien, 23, of Hyattsville, MD, died on January 29, 2020, following his collapse at the gym in his apartment complex. Chris was born July 4, 1996, in Washington, DC and grew up in Northern Virginia. He graduated from Howard University in the Summer of 2018 with a bachelor degree in Business Administration; and the following fall began working as a Management Consulting Delivery Analyst at Accenture Federal Services. Chris professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. He was dearly loved by his friends and family who remember him as reserved but witty. Blessed with a naturally meek temper, Chris was nonetheless goal oriented. Always comfortable in his own skin, he combined a quirky sense of humor and relaxed personality in an endearing and charming nature. Chris is survived by his parents, Gregory and Marjorie (née Désulmé) Adrien; his brother, Jonathan and sister, Stephanie Adrien; paternal grandmother, Anne Marie Adrien; maternal grandmother, Gisele Désulmé; uncles and aunts, Ketlynn Adrien, Marie Lydie (née Adrien) and her husband Donald Lafontant, Ramon Adrien and his wife Marlene, Eric and Rachel (née Adrien) Désulmé, Ralph Adrien and his wife Claire, Hans Désulmé and his wife Florence, Ralf Désulmé and his wife Micka, Fabienne and Vladimir Charlemagne, and Margareth Brutus; cousins, Stephann Désulmé and his wife Yasmine, Christian Désulmé and his wife Tyla, Francesca Désulmé, Marlon Adrien, David Adrien, Ramona Adrien, Rose-Laurence Adrien, Nellie Adrien, Chloé Adrien, Ann-Catherine Désulmé and her husband Guertin Irus, Fred-Eric Désulmé, Jean-Philippe Désulmé, Shari Adrien, Mirela Désulmé, Sebastien Désulmé, Chloe Charlemagne and Zachary Charlemagne. He is preceded in death by uncle Henriot Adrien and grandfathers, Evrard Adrien and Alphonse Désulmé. Relatives and friends may call at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria, VA 22315 on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8PM and at Calvary Road Baptist Church, 6811 Beulah Street, Alexandria, VA on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 9:30AM until time of service at 10:30AM. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Partners in Health to specifically support the University Hospital in Mirebalais, Haiti (https://www.pih.org/haiti). Christopher loved Haiti, his parents’ home country, and nurtured a keen interest in improving its situation.
