Shelley Eileen LeMessurier

Shelley Eileen LeMessurier, beloved wife of Allen LeMessurier, died unexpectedly on July 17th. She was born January 29, 1964, in San Marino, CA, and had resided in Alexandria, VA for the past two years, having moved there from San Antonio, TX. Shelley, fun-loving to the end, was the definition of vibrancy and joy. Always the athlete, she played Junior Wimbledon tennis in high school, was an accomplished snow-skier, and avid scuba diver. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a double minor in Spanish and French from Texas A&M and was a proud Aggie. She also pursued post graduate work in Law Firm Management and Project Management at George Washington University. Shelley and Allen traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. She loved animals, the outdoors, and never met anyone she didn't like or who didn't adore her in return. Shelley cherished her nieces and nephews: Quincy and Rainey Lynch of Dallas; Grace, James and Forrest Lillibridge of San Antonio; and Jessica and Lauren Savage of Dallas. In addition to her husband of 22 years, Shelley is survived by her sister Shannon Lynch of Dallas. Her mother, Patricia Ann Hamilton, pre-deceased her. Shelley is also survived by her cherished parents-in-law Phil and Sarah Joe LeMessurier and sister-in-law Genevieve Lillibridge of San Antonio, her father and step-mother Stan and Suzy Savage of Farmington, NM and her brother Patrick Savage of Dallas. She is also survived by her golden retriever Nick, cats Calley and Summer, and bird Ringo. Extended family whom Shelley loved and who loved her, include Forrest and Gayle Robertson, JoAnn and John Hunt, Bill and Marilyn Hamilton, Don and Martha LeMessurier and cousins Joleen Winter, Robert Fleming, Monte Hamilton, and Holly Payne. Friends and acquaintances are too numerous to mention. A memorial service will be held in San Antonio at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 315 E Pecan at 2:00 PM on August 9, 2010.
