Jennifer Lynn (Troxell) Bonilla

Jennifer Lynn Bonilla, 32 of Alexandria passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 in West Palm Beach Florida due to unexpected complications from her diabetes. Beloved mother of Alijah (7) and Ariella (6), wife of Cesar A. Bonilla, and daughter of Paul E. Troxell and Carol A. Spitler she is also survived by five sisters Tiffany Troxell, Jasmine Spitler, Cassidy Spitler, Tasha Spitler, and Arielle Spitler. She passed peacefully with her husband and father by her side. Jennifer was a 2004 graduate of Thomas A. Edison High School and attended Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria. She was an outstanding member of the Edison High School track team as a freshman and sophomore, earning several medals and recognitions. She also participated in the JROTC program and studied Culinary Arts in Edison’s vocational school. Jennifer was an avid sports fan and supported all of the local professional teams. She also enjoyed watching college basketball especially March Madness. On here recent trip to Florida she visited and toured the Daytona Speedway in Daytona Beach, got to sign her name on the track, and stated that it was “the best part of her trip so far”. Jennifer was a loving and caring mother. She loved to shop for her children and loved to dress them up in nice clothes. A proud mother, she would take dozens of pictures at family events and outings sharing them with family and friends and posting them on social media. She also supported her children’s activities at school. Jennifer was a “free spirit” and was always the life of the party. She loved shopping and was a collector of stuff – purses, shoes, flip flops, coats… she didn’t have just one of something she had many. Jennifer will live on in our hearts and will always be with us. She was an organ donor and was able to donate her retinas, tissues, and bone marrow to help others. A visitation with family and friends will be held 12 PM at Jefferson Funeral Chapel at 5755 Castlewellan Dr , Alexandria, VA 22315 on Friday May 18th followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm. Since Jennifer was such an avid Washington sports fan guests may wear clothing from their favorite Washington area sports team. After the service a reception will be held at Outback Steakhouse located at 6651 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA 22150.
