James Aloysius Pacheli

James Aloysius Pacheli, Jr. was born in Washington, D.C. on November 25, 1946, to James Aloysius Pacheli and Ruby Gordon Carey. James, affectionately known as Jim, attended public schools until the sixth grade. He worked in public transportation as a bus driver for twenty-five years where his perfect attendance was celebrated. He genuinely enjoyed helping people with special needs. During his employment, he met his wife Synnethia. James loved watching westerns, especially John Wayne movies on the Western channel. He looked forward to birthday celebrations where he could indulge in brownies with vanilla ice cream. Sweet potato pie was his dessert of choice at Thanksgiving surrounded by family. James was an animal lover, who had a special fondness for his cat,Tadrea, and his loveable dog, Cotton, the shelter rescued Pomeranian. James was a true family man making sure that all family members were well cared for. His daughter Joanna made sure to visit her dad as often as possible. James assisted in raising his daughter Brittany, providing a stable, loving foundation for her growth. During the recovery of his father-in-Law, Melvin, Jim stepped in to care for MyStarshia from infancy to age four. His nieces Jynell and Jalyn held a special place in his heart; he enjoyed sharing the good stories of his youth as well as life lessons. James’ sister Vicki had a regular monthly sleepover to spend time with her brother and would join on family vacations. James and his mother-in-law, Rosa, were “thick as thieves!” They enjoyed each other’s company in every way. He looked forward to sampling all her homemade dishes, breezes on the patio and having cold brews together. His grandchildren were a special treasure to him! James was preceded in death by Willna Ann Uebrick-Pacheli (late wife), Emma Victoria Pacheli (sister), Donovan Steen (grandson) and Ebony Clark (sister-in-law). James leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Synnethia Pacheli; daughters Joanna Charlton, Brittany Glascoe, Jazmin Biney and Janea Biney; godsons: Dominique Johnson and Mark Tuckson; grandchildren: Nasir, Fatima, Nyela, Fahmida and Halo, in laws: Darryl R. Clark and Rosa Collins-Clark, Melvin L. Glascoe, I (Starlene), Lucreshia (Tremayne), Melvin l. Glascoe, II, Eric Collins, Monique Peay, Valerie Mallory, Javon Newton, MyStarshia Glascoe-Newton; nieces and nephews Jynell L. Lewis, Jalyn L. Herron, Marquis Govan, Miryana Alexander, Santae Tribble, Aaliyah Tobias and a host of family and friends.
