Franklin Eugene Mock

Franklin Eugene Mock, (Jim) of Alexandria, Virginia passed away December 28, 2015. Jim was born in Herndon, Virginia on March 10,1927 to his parents Minor Charles Mock and Ethel Edna Mock. Jim is proceeded in death by his parents, 7 sisters, 2 brothers and survivor by 2 sisters. In 1945 Jim join the U.S. Army for 2 years term. When Jim got out service he meets his wife Joan Marie LeBaron and was married for of 64 years. Jim and Joan had 5 daughters (Linda, spouse Paul Blaylock of Nokesville), (Connie, spouse James Green of Fredericksburg), (Karen, spouse Philip Hibbitts of West Virginia), (Kimberly Ex-spouse Warren Evans of Woodbridge), and (Lisa, spouse Kirk Nance of Woodbridge). They also had seven grandchildren, Paul Blaylock Jr, Jimmy Green Jr, Lindsey Green (Cashin), Cheyenne Hibbitts, Amanda and Alex Evans, and Dylan Nance, and 13 great grandkids, (Coral Blaylock), (Mackenzie and Mya Green), (Carter, Cohen, Cooper and Camden Cashin), (Ava and Jaxon Hibbitts), (Corrine, Faith and Hope Evans) and (Dalton Nance). Jim worked over 50 years as a carpenter. He loved the outdoors and gardening was his favorite pass time, along with fishing with his son-in-law’s and playing cards with his family and friends. Even though Jim had been sick over 5 years he still enjoys walking outdoors and being with his family. Even with his loss of his memory, if ask Jim for a kiss, he would pucker up and give kisses to all the women he loved. When you tell Jim that you loved him, he said (I know it). Jim was a wonderful man, though he had his faults being a Cowboy Fan was questionable! Today we are here to grieve the loss of Jim, a wonderful husband, a loving father who we will all miss greatly. Everyone here loved and respected Jim so much. Let’s not forget what he has taught us over the years and cherish all of the great memories we had together, for Jim did had a wonderful life. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on December 30, 2015 at Jefferson Funeral Chapel Alexandria, Virginia. Service will be held December 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at Jefferson Chapel. Jim will be laid to rest at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle Virginia, following services.
