Eusebio Gut-omen Litilit

Eusebio Litilit, 77, of Clarksburg, Maryland, passed away on October 31, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was “Papa” to three children and “Lolo” to five grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Eduardo and Inocencia Litilit, brother Elpidio (Lita) and sister Eugenia (Tony✝️). He leaves behind his wife of nearly 50 years Jovita Della Litilit, his daughters, Ruschelle (son-in-law Noel), Joy (son-in-law Sean), and Dianne, grandchildren Andrew, CJ, Aria, Miguel, and Matteo, his sisters Eveline (Theodore), Edmunda and Eleanor (Joel✝️), his brothers, Ernesto(Elena), Eduardo Jr.(Esther), Emerson, and Enrique(Juanita) and numerous nephews and nieces who referred to him as “Uncle Seb.” He was born in Sabangan, Mountain Province, Philippines. As a youngster, Eusebio enjoyed playing basketball. He loved nature, hiking, and swimming. He was also an exemplary student and garnered many academic achievement medals. He began school at St. Joseph Elementary in Sabangan and finished high school in 1965 at St. Francis Xavier Seminary in Baguio City. He continued his studies in philosophy and theology at San Carlos Seminary in Makati. He left the seminary and continued studies in law at Baguio Colleges Foundation. While in Baguio City, he met and married the love of his life, Jovita, who was introduced to him by his sister. He worked for the Department of Labor and Employment and left to help with the family business. In 1999, he moved with his family to the USA. They were welcomed graciously to set up roots in Maryland by his sister-in-law’s family, the Fangonils. He worked for the Kreeger family initially at their estate then subsequently at their museum. The Kreeger Museum was a place that appreciated him as much as he appreciated them. His life was deeply rooted in his faith. Nearly all his books were on Christianity. He was a proud Igorot who looked at every opportunity to gather with his fellow Igorots. He loved to prepare his most requested special dish, tinuno, at family events. He loved to travel with his family, especially to the beach. He loved hearing his daughters trying to sing Karaoke. He loved spending time with his dog, Reyna. He was especially proud of all his grandchildren, reveling in each of their accomplishments. He will be greatly missed. We invite his family and friends to join us in celebrating his life and honoring his memory on Saturday, November 22, 2025: Viewing (10 AM to 12 PM) and Church Service (12 PM to 1 PM) will occur at the Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria, VA 22315; Celebration of Life will occur from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Embassy Suites by Hilton, 8100 Loisdale Road, Springfield, VA 22150
