Elena Aurora Jaldin

Elena Aurora Jaldin, our devoted, loving, adventurous, and most of all caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend was taken by the hand of our good Lord almighty on March 14, 2024. Elena was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia on August 13, 1942 and moved to the United States in 1999 where she resided in Alexandria until her death. She was born to Ambrosio Jaldin and Patrocinia Bustamante, both of whom preceded her in death. Elena passed surrounded by her family in Fairfax, VA; with her husband Edgar Omonte, children; Roger, Giovanna, Karina, Benjamin, Paola and Rodrigo, daughters-in-law; Janet and Jackeline, Sons-in-law; Robert, Brian and Ricardo, grandchildren; Lizzie, Andrea, Michelle, Melissa and Melina, Adrian, Diana, Laura, Nicolas, Veronica, Luke, Mateo, Luciano, Leonardo, Sebastian, and Tomas and great granddaughter Antonella. Elena was preceded in death by her siblings; Yolanda, Tito, and Mery and survived by siblings; Maria and Antonio. Elena expressed on many occasions that although she was not able to participate in the life of Luciano, she loved him. Elena was a devout Catholic and enjoyed hours upon hours of EWTN Catholic television. Her biggest hobby was building jigsaw puzzles with the help of her grandkids and what brought her the biggest joy was awaiting any event that meant having the entire family together. A visitation service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Alexandria at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 12:00 noon and then laid to rest at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax at 2pm. Elena nació en Cochabamba, Bolivia el 13 de agosto de 1942 y se mudó a los Estados Unidos donde residió en Alexandria desde 1999 hasta su muerte. Elena nacio de sus padres Ambrosio Jaldin y Patrocinia (Pachi) Bustamante, quienes la precedieron en la muerte. Elena falleció rodeada de su familia en Fairfax, VA; junto a su esposo Edgar Omonte, hijos; Roger, Giovanna, Karina, Benjamín, Paola y Rodrigo, nueras; Janet y Jackeline, yernos; Robert, Brian y Ricardo, nietos; Lizzie, Andrea, Michelle, Melissa y Melina, Adrian, Diana, Laura, Nicolas, Veronica, Luke, Mateo, Luciano, Leonardo, Sebastian y Tomas y su bisnieta Antonella. A Elena le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanos; Yolanda, Tito y Mery y le sobreviven hermanos; María y Antonio, quienes viven en Bolivia. Elena expresó en muchas ocasiones que aunque no pudo participar en la vida de Luciano, lo amaba muchisimo. Elena era una Católica devota y disfrutaba horas y horas de la televisión Católica EWTN. Su mayor hobby era construir rompecabezas con la ayuda de sus nietos y lo que más alegría le daba era esperar cualquier evento que implicara reunir a toda la familia. El velorio se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia Católica St. Louis en Alexandria (2907 Popkins Lane) a las 11:00 a.m., seguido por una misa a las 12:00 del dia y posteriormente, sus restos seran trasladados al cemeterio Fairfax Memorial Park en Fairfax (9900 Braddock Road) a las 2 p.m. el dia Sábado 23 de Marzo de 2024.
