Dulzura Misola Bautista

Dulzura Chavez- Misola Bautista, Nancy as she is fondly called was born in Manila to the late Benito Misola and Maria Luisa Chavez on March 26, 1933 as the eldest of seven children. Nancy went home with the Lord peacefully at 8:15 PM , on Monday, November 6, 2017 surrounded by family and friends at their residence in Kingstowne, Alexandria. Nancy prepared to be an educator, finishing a degree in Bachelor of Science in Education major in English at the University of Santos Tomas, Philippines in 1959. In 1960, she married her first love, Jose “Dodong” Bautista. They were married for almost fifty-eight years. While Nancy wanted to practice her profession, her devotion to her husband and dedication to their six children became her priority in life. She was her husband’s help-meet in raising their six children of whom thirteen grandchildren were born. Nancy had a hand in raising all the first ten grandchildren. All their grandchildren were her and her husband’s utmost delight. Although Nancy did not spend time in the kitchen to prepare meals for their weekly family gatherings, she made sure everything was clean and organized. She was a passionate homemaker who made sure that every member of the family is cared for and that the household is in order. Nancy had a big, generous heart for anyone who needed help in any form. She will be missed and remembered most for her contagious laughter and sweet smile. Nancy is survived by her husband Dodong and her six children: daughter, Joy and son- in-law, Eddie, daughter, Jendra and son-in-law, Jaime; son, Joel and daughter-in-law, Karla; son, Jonathan and daughter-in-law, Sheree; son, Jeovani and daughter-in-law, Jingle and daughter, Johanna and son-in-law, Jaybee. Grandchildren: Charmaigne and grandson-in-law, Antonio, Charisse and grandson-in-law, Jonah, Camille, Jhonimie, Jhanyn, Jon Krenz, Joni Kaye, Jose Carlos, Maria Dominique, Juan Gabriel, Arthur Joseph, Jaden Joseph and Jai-Marie. Siblings: sisters, Mimi and Ging. The Bautista family will receive relatives and friends for viewing on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 3:00-6:00 PM and a celebration of her life will start at 6:30 PM at the Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Dr., Alexandria, VA 22315. Cremation will be held on a later date.
