Brandon Taylor Bell

On Wednesday October 16, 2019 at 7:55am Brandon Taylor Bell aka “Breezy” slipped away from us unexpectedly. Brandon was our first born son. He was born on November 22, 1997 and quickly became the light of our lives. Brandon was a sweet, friendly, happy and easy going child. He was also my mothers first grandson and she was over the moon for him. Brandon grew into a popular elementary, middle and high school student and made many, many friends along the way. He was a successful student and discovered a passion for football in middle school. He would go onto lead his team as #7, quarterback for the Hayfield Hawks. He graduated from Hayfield in 2016 and was accepted to Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA, and looked forward to playing football for them as well. Unfortunately in 2017 he injured his knee before the season could start and required surgery which pretty much ended his ability to play football. He struggled to overcome this and along the way became addicted to pain killers. We only recently became aware of how bad things had gotten. We struggled to help him as best we could but the drugs were stronger than any of us. Brandon leaves behind his mother Tina, Father, Bobby his younger brothers, Tanner 18 and Corey 17 and multiple uncles, aunts and cousins. His beloved grandmother passed away in 2017 and is happily now reunited with him along with our other family members who have left us including his beloved dog, Scooter. He also leaves behind many close friends many of whom are like children to us as well because they all grew up together and spent a lot to time with our family. Brandon developed a passion for making music over the past few years and had developed quite a following. I had not realized until this week how many people I shared my wonderful son with. Many hearts are broken and lives forever affected by this loss. Our hearts are irreparably broken and only the love and support of ourselves, friends and family will get us through this. In lieu of flowers I’m asking that donations be sent to shatterproof.org. This organization is working hard to educate doctors and other health professionals on the dangers of drug addiction as well as offer support to the families affected by this rapidly growing epidemic. This was always what happened to other people. We have now become those other people and join a growing statistic of heartbroken families.
