Obituary for Natalie Mieszczanski

Natalie Mieszczanski (92)
Of Bridgeport, CT, Springhill, FL, and most recently Alexandria, VA passed June 1, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Peter Mieszczanski; loving mother of Paul Mieszczanski, wife Maria; John Mieszczanski, wife Diane; Mary Mieszczanski and Theresa Brayton; grandmother of Laura, Gail, Melissa, Christina, and Peter P.; great grandmother of Ava, Hunter and Finley.
Natalie grew up in Petlikowce Stare Poland (now Ukraine) as a farmer and daughter of an ex-Army MEDIC and town leader. She was enslaved by/in Germany in 1942, and remained there as a politically persecuted refugee completing a 3 year seamstress apprenticeship, meeting her refugee husband, and working for the US Army. She immigrated and married in CT in 1950, and worked as a seamstress for Warner Brothers, lovingly raised a family, and co-owned/maintained 4 properties with 23 apartments. They worked hard for the legacy they made from nothing and left behind. "God bless America, my children have a better life". Natalie and her pure love/goodness will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
