Obituary for John Lynch


John Patrick Lynch passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on June 17, 2018 in Alexandria, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Lynch and brother, Richard David Lynch.

Visitation will be held at Jefferson Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 20th from 6:30-8:00pm. Internment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

John served in the United States Army and retired honorably after 23 years. He later worked for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Renata Lynch; children, Rita (Mitch) Miller; Frank (Debbie) Lynch; John Lynch; Renata (Russell) Middleton. Grandchildren, Melissa (Josh) Cramer; Stephanie Miller; Jason Lynch; Kristine (Mike) Seeley; Adrienne (Morgan) McLeod; Jonathan Middleton and Julia Middleton; Step-grandchildren, Joshua Schmidt and Cari Schmidt. Great Grandchildren, Gavin, Griffin, Kinsley and Connor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be left in John’s online guestbook.

The family wishes to send gratitude to the Capital Caring Hospice for their support in his final days.
