Obituary for Jimmy Wayne Cummins

On Sunday, December 31, 2017, Jimmy passed away at his home in Alexandria, VA.
Jimmy was born on May 13, 1941 in Pennsylvania to Harry and Margaret Cummins. In 1959 he graduated from Wilson High School and then enlisted in the US Navy. Jimmy retired from the Navy as Chief Yeoman in 1978 and has resided in Alexandria since. He has worked for the US Capital, Defense Department, The White House, The Pentagon and the Tomahawk Missile Program. In his earlier years he was a member of the Glendon Tumblers as an acrobat and performed on the Ted Macke amateur hour on television.
Jimmy is survived by his sons, Mark W., Duane M. and Curt J. Cummins; sister Janice Silfies and brother Ronald Cummins. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jimmy is predeceased by his loving wife Audrey Ann and son Gregg A. Cummins.
Relatives and friends may call at Jefferson Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 11 AM until time of service at 12 Noon. Interment following at Mt. Comfort Cemetery.
