Henry Kenneth Walrath of Locust Grove, Virginia passed on September 08, 2017.

Hank was born in Harrisville, New York on November 24, 1940. He was a graduate of Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky and attended Syracuse University Law School in Syracuse, New York. Hank had a successful 45-year sales career, working in the food brokerage business for multiple companies including Francois L. Schwarz, Sarvis, Inc., and Advantage Sales & Marketing LLC.

Hank enjoyed watching and attending sporting events, especially his beloved Jacksonville Jaguars. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, exercising, and tanning while on vacation at the beach or pool.

Hank is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth C. and Mary J. Duchano Walrath, and sisters Margaret McAfee, Marian Michalek, and Josephine Lord.

He is the father of Kenneth Walrath of Lorton, Virginia, Brian (Jennifer) Walrath of Springfield, Virginia, and Jodi (Kenneth) Brown of Lorton, Virginia; grandfather of, Delaney, Allison, Brian Jr., Dean, Gerald and Kolby; close friend and former husband of Maryann Walrath, brother of Gertrude Daniels of Matawan, New Jersey, Jane Dooley of Melrose, Florida, and Mary MacAleese of Cranberry Lake, New York. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria, Virginia, on Thursday, September 14 from 5-8PM, where service will be held Friday September 15 at 11 am.

Expressions of sympathy may be offered in flowers or a charitable gift to the Alzheimer’s Association in Hank’s memory.
