Obituary for Abraham Alfred "Al" Raizen

Raizen, Abraham Alfred “Al” - Died peacefully at his home of 60 years in Arlington on December 31, 2017, following his wife Senta’s death by seven and a half days. He was 100 years old. He is survived by his children, Helen and her wife Kathy MacDonald of Jamaica Plain, MA, Michael and his wife Barbara of Arlington, and Daniel of Cambridge, MA, nine grandchildren and his sister Jeanne Greenebaum of Natick, MA. His daughter in-law, Teresa, passed previously. Al Raizen was a veteran of World War II serving in North Africa and Italy. He worked as a financial analyst at the SEC and the World Bank, retiring in 1984. He was active in civic affairs, an avid photographer and a life-long Yankees fan, to which Senta said, "And I'm a life-long Al Raizen fan." Burial service will be private. A Celebration of his Life will be planned for a later date. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the International Rescue Committee.
